Notes for measuring for a Mainsails or Mizzens.

A/ Maximum Luff Measurements
Using your main haylard pull a tape measure to the top of your mast or to the Black Band. Measure to the attachment point on your sail attractment point at the gooseneck.

B/ Leech Length
With the tape measure still up at the top of the mast, measure to the end of the boom where the clew of the sail is normally in it's maximum position. Make
sure you have the boom in normal sailing position clearing any spray dodgers and bimini tops that may be upright when sailing.

C/ Foot Lengths and Reef Position
Measure from the attachment point at the gooseneck to the maximum sail position at the end of the boom. Also measure the position of the reef blocks.

D/
Finally measure from the back face of the mast to the attachment shackle at the goose neck.
